Abstract

Aim: The aim of this study is to investigate the positive or negative effects of altitude on aerobic and anaerobic performance.

Material and Method: For this purpose, the literature was examined in detail and the results obtained in the studies were explained.

Results: It was concluded that altitude has a significant effect on athletic performance.

Conclussions: While altitude negatively affects aerobic performance over a certain distance, it has a positive effect on anaerobic performance.
